INFORMATION FOR US PARTICIPATING PHYSICIANS

The DVD-ROM "Breast Cancer, a Team Approach" involved the contribution of many radiologists specialized in breast cancer, an epidemiologist and public health care provider, a pathologist, a specialist in nuclear medicine and a general practitioner.

This program is an extensive review of the world literature and a selected day-to-day cases study. The scientific content has been peer-reviewed by members of the Universite de Montreal, Canadian Association of Radiologists (CAR), and the pedagogic aspect supervised by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

AMA PRA Category 1 credit and accreditation:

This DVD-ROM is accredited by the Continuing Professional Development Office of the Universite de Montreal (co-provider) and acknowledged by the Canadian Association of Radiologists (Canadian chapter of the American College of Radiology (ACR).

CACME (Committee for Accreditation of CME) in Canada has an agreement with ACCME (Accreditation Council for CME) in the USA and the American Medical Association (AMA) that allows activities produced by the Canadian Medical Schools the right to grant AMA PRA Category 1 credit for substantial equivalence.

A thorough study of the DVD-ROM including the CME multiple choice test will require more than 40 hours of study (CME maximum is 40 credits). Participants must answer the CME test by printing the ''answers form’’ included in the DVD (Part 6 of the Main Index). Each participant can then assess by himself his score, his performance relative to peers, the identification of right and wrong answers and the detailed breakdown answers. A certificate of participation will be provided by Pro-Mammo-CD on e-mail request only (administrative charges apply).

The CME test can be printed in Part 6 of the DVD Main Index.

The computer program can only register one invoice number and one serial number for each DVD-ROM sold.

Designation statement:

Pro-Mammo-CD, by authorization of the Continuing Professional Development Office of the University of Montreal, the accredited co-provider, and as approved by the Canadian Association of Radiologists (CAR) designates this educational activity for a maximum of 40 hours in category 1 credit toward the American Medical Association Physician’s Recognition Award (AMA PRA).

Attention: each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the activity.

A certificate of participation may be required by the American Medical Association. This certificate will be provided on request only. If needed. A $75.00 charge applies.
